Foothills Community Partnership
Potts Marketing Group takes pride in its alliance with The Foothills Community Partnership. When it was discovered that the United States Environmental Protection Agency determined that some of the residential yards in and around Anniston, Oxford, and Hobson City Alabama may contain levels of lead above the EPA's conservative action levels, fast and appropriate action was needed. Thus, The Foothills Community Partnership was formed out of a group of companies made up of former and current owners of industrial operations.
We have helped to direct community outreach efforts which included hosting dozens of public information meetings; community communications with regional media; organizing many receptions and meetings with leaders in Anniston, Hobson City, and Oxford; developing an informational website; producing a regular stream of newsletters to be distributed to individuals in the community; to be as available as possible to inquiries and interests expressed from area citizens; to keep area leaders informed as to the progress being made during the cleanup project. Everything has been done with the intention of making our community a better place.
The Foothills Community Partnership officially presented a charitable contribution to the community of $500,000. This gift establishes the Foothills Community Partnership Charitable Fund which is being guided by the Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama to address critical human-care needs in the greater community. The Foothills Community Partnership is very grateful to be a part of this vibrant community. "We owe the success of this effort to the continual support we have received from members of our community," said Tom Potts, Foothills Community Partnership spokesperson. "The Foothills Community Partnership is pleased to provide this gift to the community as a way of saying 'Thank you' as we come to the conclusion of the residential soil cleanup program. Our vision in making this substantial gift is to provide a lasting benefit to the community and to underscore our organization's tradition of community involvement," said Potts.Visit the Foothills Community Partnership Site
